The Dangling Salp (Salp pendulous) is a sticky suspension-feeding tunicatecreature that hangs in the water column and captures passing organisms from the current. Found on the Plateaus, it is passive toward Pioneers. As a tunic organism (related to real-world sea squirts and salps), it is part of the diverse colonial organism ecology of Proteus alongside the Dangling Salp's relatives in the Rotsac and Tunic groupings.
