The Bloom group is the collective term for all organisms associated with the Proteavirus beta infection spreading through Proteus. This includes the Bloom Canker (sessile, destroyed by Sonic Resonator/Feedback Resonator), Bloom Parasite (mobile, infects fauna), and the Angel Comb (the alien organism that grants adaptations to cure the Bloom's effects on Pioneers). Bloom-infected biomes spread via root tendrils and require active clearance to access safely.

Clearing Bloom:
- Blue-core cankers — destroy with [sonic-resonator] at close range.
- Purple/armored cankers — require [feedback-resonator] (long range, fire while canker is open).
- Cankers close defensively if you approach too fast — slow approach, then shoot.
