| Name | Biomes | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Larger sub | A large multi-crew submarine confirmed for Subnautica 2's Early Access roadmap — the spiritual successor to the Cyclops from the original Subnautica. Designed to serve as a mobile base for longer expeditions, supporting up to 4 players simultaneously. Not available in the EA 1.0 launch build; recipe, stats, and blueprint location are unknown. The Tadpole remains the only craftable submersible in EA 1.0. | |
| Prawn Suit | A pressure-resistant exomech suit designed for deep-zone mining and heavy-duty construction. The Prawn Suit is confirmed for Subnautica 2's Early Access roadmap but is not available in the EA 1.0 launch build. Expect it to arrive as deeper biomes open during the EA progression. If you remember the Prawn from the original game, expect a similar role: grappling-hook traversal, drill arm for hard-rock deposits, and protection against extreme crush depths. | |
| Tadpole | The Pioneer's first submersible. Single-seat, **250m default crush depth**, 4 module slots, 1 hardpoint. The Tadpole is a glorified scooter — fast (8 m/s base), nimble in caves, but fragile (100 HP). Upgrade the depth (Mk1 module: +200m → 450m; Mk2 module: +200m → 650m) and the hull (chassis chain: Hull Part 1 → 2 → 3) through the 101–250m tier. Docks at the Tadpole Dock (built from Habitat Builder). Carries cargo internally — useful for resource hauling once the **Tadpole Haul Chassis** is installed. |
